Key Responsibilities
 
  • Direct the design, development, and implementation of secure, scalable software and network architectures.
  • Recruit, mentor, and empower a diverse, high-performing engineering team to achieve strategic objectives.
  • Establish and enforce engineering standards, release processes, and performance metrics to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate closely with product, sales, and customer success teams to align technical solutions with business goals and client expectations.
  • Champion innovation by integrating AI, zero-trust security, and emerging technologies into our product ecosystem.
  • Oversee resource allocation, budgeting, and project planning to deliver projects on time and within scope.
  • Optimize development workflows using Agile, DevSecOps, and CI/CD practices to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Represent the engineering organization in executive strategy sessions, customer meetings, and industry conferences.
 
Qualifications & Requirements
 
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 10+ years of engineering leadership experience, with 5+ years in a senior leadership role.
  • Deep technical expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, networking, or cybersecurity solutions.
  • Proven ability to build and scale high-performing engineering teams in fast-paced, technology-driven environments.
  • Strong strategic thinking with experience aligning technical initiatives with business priorities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage technical teams, executives, and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated success managing complex projects in regulated or mission-critical industries.
  • Proficiency with modern development methodologies, including Agile, CI/CD, and secure software practices.
 
Preferred Qualifications
 
  • Advanced degree (Master’s or PhD) in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
  • Leadership experience in aerospace, SaaS, or enterprise IT, with a focus on AI or zero-trust solutions.
  • Knowledge of compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or aerospace-specific standards.
  • Track record of driving innovation, such as leading AI/ML integrations or launching transformative products.
